Maple Diet Only A Beginning
Maple Diet is Only The Beginning
When thinking about starting a body cleansing detoxification program, many people do
their research on the internet. There are many different natural body detoxification
programs. One of which is commonly referred to as The Maple Diet.
The Maple Diet, also called the Lemonade Detox Diet, or, as it’s really known, the
Master Cleanse, is a popular way to cleanse your body of toxins. It’s basically a liquid
fast program that has several key ingredients. It was developed in the early part of the
last century as a treatment for ulcers. However, while doing the fast, many people began
to realize benefits other than the healing of their stomach ulcers.
Simply put, the maple diet consists of Grade B maple syrup, lemonade, cayenne pepper,
and purified water. The maple diet lasts for at least 10 days and is also enhanced by
the drinking of laxative teas or something called a salt water flush. These latter two
components of the fast are meant to help your digestive tract cleanse itself from all
digested food that tends to clog the intestines of people who eat our modern diet.
Most people are unaware that there is food stuck in their intestines. However, this is
common in many people today who generally eat a modern diet of processed and refined
foods. Now, don’t misunderstand me. I am not talking about a fast food diet, even though
this is a problem in it’s own right. What I am talking about is people who, while they
may eat healthy, their main diet comes out of a package of some sort.
When food is processed and packaged, you can bet it has lost a lot of its fiber and a
lot of the nutrients that were in it when it first came out of the ground. When food
lacks fiber it doesn’t pass through the intestines very easily. Some of the food
products build up along the walls of the digestive tract and there they start to rot and
produce toxins and chemicals that aren’t the best for us to have in our bodies.
The bulk of these toxins are the result of putrid and fermenting food products that have
not been flushed out of your system. When this food sludge stays in our system and
basically rots, it produces chemicals that can be re-absorbed back into our systems.
Then our body’s organs have to find a way to cleanse these chemicals from our system.
The maple diet is one way to get these products out of the colon. However, I would
submit that it is only the beginning. While the maple diet is able to clean us out, it
doesn’t put anything back into our system. Our modern diet is depleated of most
naturally occuring vitamins and minerals, not to mention fiber. After you do your master
cleanse or maple diet, its necessary to learn how to eat healthfully so that the more
important nutrients are replenished in our bodies.
Now, I can’t tell you what to eat because each person has differing tastes and needs.
Each person has different health challenges also. One person may be dealing with a
chronic disease, while the next person may be wanting to just loose weight. Each
individual should investigate and research just what type of detox program they need
individually. There are books and CDs that are packed with good information online.
I would encourage those who are interested in the maple diet cleanse to think of what
type of diet they want to pursue and enjoy once they use the maple detox diet to clean
out their digestive tract. Buy an ebook or download an audio book. Have a good idea of
what detoxing is all about. And then, participate regularly in practicing good health.
It will pay dividends in the long run
