The Maple Diet

Stanley Burroughs is the creator of the Maple Detox Diet back in the 1950s. When he developed The Maple Diet he said that it will eliminate toxins, like chemicals, certain hormones, harmful medications, chemical fertilizers, and even heavy metals, from the body. In healthy people the body will eliminate normal everyday toxins from itself through the lungs, kidneys, liver. That’s really what its designed to do.

People who have used the maple cleanse diet credit it with increasing energy and stamina, losing weight, increasing libido, and even with some chronic diseases. Recent popularity can be attributed to celebrities, especially Beyonce Knowles. She used this diet to lose a lot of weight when preparing for her role in the movie “Dreamgirls”.

Proponents of the detox cleansing diet say that the Maple Syrup Diet is not a diet per se. Rather, it is a cleanse, meant to detoxify the body of all previous food intake and unhealthful toxins. It’s also known as the “Master Cleanse” or the “Lemonade Diet”.

The ingredients of the Maple Cleanse are basically a mixture of Grade B Maple syrup, fresh squeezed lemon juice, spring water and cayenne pepper. The detox program lasts for a minimum of 10 days, and up to 90 days for those who are motivated.

As was said above, the Maple Detox Diet was pioneered in the 1950s. Since then, people who have used it claim that not only do they lose weight, but they see better, smell better, hear better and feel better, while also ridding their bodies of ailments that have afflicted them for years.

I have to say it again, the Maple Cleanse is not meant to be a diet, but a fasting or detox program. Many experts recommend that you use it for short term use if you decide to use it at all.

Remember, you should ask your physician if you are healthy enough to carry out this strict regimen before you begin it. In your efforts to improve your health, you wouldn’t want to unwittingly cause greater complications. Especially if they are avoidable in the first place. Never take chances with your health.
